ROCHESTER, NY - The RIT women's tennis team fell to non-conference competitor SUNY Geneseo 7-2 on Thursday in a hard-fought match on the RIT Courts. This drops RIT's overall record to 6-3. Geneseo remains undefeated at 7-0.

Amanda Berg (Mendham, NJ/Mendham) (Mendham, NJ/Mendham) continued to prove themselves at first doubles, winning 8-3. This improves their record to 8-1. Junior

Kseniya Klyachko (Whitesboro, NY/Whitesboro) (Whitesboro, NY/Whitesboro) played a tough match at second, falling to their opponents 8-4, while seniors

Sara Paduano (North Tonawanda, NY/North Tonawanda) (North Tonawanda, NY/North Tonawanda) lost at third doubles, 8-2.
The Tigers battled out their singles matches with Berg coming out as the lone victor, stepping up her singles record to 8-1 and defeating her opponent 6-3, 6-1. Sophomore
Michele Caporali (Endicott/Union Endicott) (Endicott/Union Endicott) took her opponent to three sets, losing at fourth singles 6-3, 2-6, 3-6.
The Tigers travel to William Smith College on Friday and Saturday to compete in the regional ITA tournament.
