ROCHESTER, NY - The RIT women's tennis team fell to University of Rochester 7-2 in a non-conference match Wednesday evening.  The loss drops the Tigers overall record to 3-2.  University of Rochester improves to 2-0.

The Tigers lone victories came at sixth singles and third doubles.  Freshman Lindsey Gibson (Glastonbury, CT/Mercy) (Glastonbury, CT/Mercy) battled it out in three sets to win her first collegiate match, defeating Mel Beckmann 3-6, 6-1, 6-4 at sixth singles.  Junior Alexis Stanley (Vestal, NY/Vestal) (Vestal, NY/Vestal) and senior Kseniya Klyachko (Whitesboro, NY/Whitesboro) (Whitesboro, NY/Whitesboro) gained their first win as a doubles team, defeating Nisha Javeri and Jamie Bow 8-1 at third doubles.

The Tigers take the road Friday to return to Empire 8 action as they play Hartwick at 4 p.m.
