ROCHESTER, NY -- The RIT women's tennis team was defeated by Ithaca College 7-2 in Empire 8 action on Saturday afternoon. The loss drops RIT to 2-1 on the season and in the Empire 8.

The Tigers lone victories came in first doubles and first singles. The team of Amanda Berg (Mendham, NJ/Mendham) (Mendham, NJ/Mandham) and Brianne Francisco (Amsterdam, NY/Amsterdam) (Amsterdam, NY/Amsterdam) defeated Agata Kubik and Natalie Jenereski 8-4. Ber went on to a straight-set win over Devra Reiman 6-2, 6-1 in first singles.

The Tigers return to action tomorrow afternoon when they host Empire 8 rival Nazareth College at 1 pm.
