ROCHESTER, NY -- The RIT softball team dropped a pair of games to the University of Rochester, 11-0 and 14-2 in non-conference action this afternoon. The losses drop RIT to 4-10 on the season.

Carlissa Cole (Alden, NY/Alden) (Alden, NY) and Amanda Morehouse (Penn Yan, NY/Penn Yan Academy) (Penn Yan, NY) took the losses for RIT who will face Utica College on Saturday afternoon at 1 pm in Utica, New York.

In game one RIT mustered just two hits. Cole got the start for the Tigers, allowing 10 runs on 12 hits. She struck out two and did not walk a batter.

In game two Morehouse allowed 14 runs on 13 hits. She struck out six and walked two in the losing effort. Emily McPherson (Pompey, NY/Fabius-Pompey) (Pompey, NY/Fabius-Pompey) went 1-for-3 with a RBI. Allison Ingalls (Cuba, NY/Cuba-Rushford) (Cuba, NY/Cuba-Rushford) had a pair of hits and Breana Sniezek (Lewisburg, PA/Lewisburg) (Lewisburg, PA) went 1-for-3 and scored a run.
