KEUKA PARK, NY - The RIT softball team (16-20) lost a pair of games at Keuka College (20-7) on a cool and windy Tuesday afternoon. Keuka won game one, 5-0 and game two, 9-8.
In game one, the Tigers recorded just four singles and made six errors.
Amanda Morehouse (Penn Yan, NY/Penn Yan Academy) (Penn Yan, NY/Penn Yan Academy) allowed just two earned runs in six innings to take the loss for RIT.
In game two, RIT trailed 9-3 after four innings, but rallied back with four runs in the fifth inning and another in the sixth to get within 9-8. Unfortunately, the Tigers could not push the tying run across.
Emily McPherson (Pompey, NY/Fabius-Pompey) (Pompey, NY/Fabius-Pompey) continued her torrid hitting, going 4-for-4 with two runs scored, three RBIs and a stolen base.
Breana Sniezek (Lewisburg, PA/Lewisburg) (Lewisburg, PA/Lewisburg) and
Jen Hayden (Syracuse, NY/West Genesee) (Syracuse, NY/West Genesee) drove in two runs apiece.
Allison Ingalls (Cuba, NY/Cuba-Rushford) (Cuba, NY-Cuba-Rushford) had s double, two runs scored and two RBIs. Morehouse scored three times.
The Tigers are awaiting word to see if a make-up doubleheader against SUNY Morrisville will be played.
