ITHACA, NY -
The RIT softball team (9-13, 4-4 Empire 8) dropped a pair of games to conference-leading Ithaca College (17-5, 6-0 Empire 8) by scores of 8-0 and 14-0, each in five innings on Saturday afternoon.  The Bombers are ranked 15th in the latest Division III poll.

In game one, Ithaca scored three runs in the third inning and four in the fourth to pull away.  Jenna Maulsolf (Hudson, NY/Hudson) had RIT's lone hit.  Stacey Pelesz hit a pair of doubles and drove in four runs for the Bombers.  Nicole Cade struck out 10 RIT batters in the complete-game win for Ithaca.

The Tigers recorded five hits in game two.  Amanda Morehouse (Penn Yan, NY/Penn Yan Academy) (Penn Yan, NY/Penn Yan Academy) had two singles, while Allison Ingalls (Cuba, NY/Cuba-Rushford) (Cuba, NY/Cuba-Rushford), Emily McPherson (Pompey, NY/Fabius-Pompey) (Pompey, NY/Fabius-Pompey) and Carlissa Cole (Alden, NY/Alden) (Alden, NY/Alden) also had base hits. 

Ithaca recorded 15 hits in the nightcap.  Caitlin Ryan was 3-for-4 with a home run, two runs scored and three runs batted in.  Nicole Myers picked up the win on the mound, striking out five.

RIT is back in action on Sunday, as they travel to play Skidmore College on Sunday at 12 p.m.
