- The RIT men's tennis team (4-4, 2-3 Empire 8) picked up its second win in less than 24 hours on Saturday, nipping host Alfred University (4-4, 2-3 Empire 8) by a score of 5-4.

After winning just one of three doubles matches, the Tigers came back to win four of the singles matches to earn the win.  At first singles, Jose Guzman (Guatemala/Collegio Valle Verde) (Guatemala/Collegio Valle Verde) scored a 7-6 (7-4), 5-7, 6-2 win over Connor Houghton, while John Traver (Clifton Park, NY/Shenendehowa) (Clifton Park, NY/Shenedehowa) scored a 7-6 (7-4), 3-6, 6-1 win over Nick Schneider at third singles.  Han Chong (Penang, Malaysia/Penang Free School) (Penang, Malaysia/Penang Free School) and Chris Muench (Fairport, NY/Fairport) (Fairport, NY/Fairport) scored decisive straight-set wins for the Tigers to secure the victory.

The Tigers are back in action on Tuesday, as they travel to Nazareth to play the Golden Flyers in an Empire 8 showdown starting at 4 p.m.
