Men's Swimming and Diving Ends Regular Season With Big Win Against Nazareth

ROCHESTER, NY --
The RIT men's swimming and diving team picked up a big 190-79 victory over Nazareth in the final dual meet of the 2007-08 season on Saturday afternoon at the Judson Pool.  The Tigers won 12 single events and one relay.

Senior Quinn Donahoe (Syracuse, NY/West Genesee) (Syracuse, NY/West Genesee) won the 1-meter diving event in 278.45.  He won the 1-meter event in 289.60.

Sophomore Jeff Kaemmerlen (Fairport, NY/Fairport) (Fairport, NY/Fairport) won the 50-yard freestyle in 21.21 seconds, while Dan Summers (Arlington, VA/Washington and Lee) (Arlington, VA/Washington and Lee) and annexed the 100-free in 52.17.

Ben Nicholas (Lakeville, MA/Apponequet Regional) (Lakeville, MA/Apponequet Regional)
was won both the 200-yard freestyle (1:50.21) and 500-yard freestyle (4:59.83).

Steve Rois (Amherst, NY/Amherst) (Amherst, NY/Amherst) won the 200-meter freestyle (2:05.96)

Steve Berus (East Amherst, NY/Williamsville North) won the 200-yard breaststroke in 2:17.85, while Adam Luptak (Idaho Falls, ID/Skyline) (Idaho Falls, ID/Skyline) won the 100-fly in 53.24 and 200-fly in 1:57.78.

Adam Giblin (Binghamton, NY/Chenango Valley) (Binghamton, NY/Chenango Valley) took the 1,000-yard freestyle in 10:54.69, while Brian Duffy (Clarence, NY/Clarence) (Clarence, NY/Clarence) picked up the victory in the 100-backstroke in :57.53.

The 200-yard medley relay team of Duffy, Berus, Luptak and Kaemmerlen won in 1:41.48.

The Tigers are back in action on Feb. 27 as they compete at the New York State Championships in Syracuse.
