Men's Swimming and Diving Defeats LeMoyne College

ROCHESTER, NY --
The RIT men's swimming and diving squad defeated LeMoyne College, 164-127 at the Judson Pool on Saturday afternoon.  RIT had six athletes win seven events.

RIT's depth was evident today, as they had 28, top-three finishes in the 16 overall events.

Seniors Quinn Donahoe (Syracuse, NY/West Genesee) (Syracuse, NY/West Genesee) and  Matt Joseph (Pittsford, NY/Pittsford Sutherland) (Pittsford, NY/Pittsford Sutherland), each won a diving event.  Donahoe nipped Joseph 309.95 to 309.85 in the 1-meter, while Joseph defeated Donahoe 317.90 to 306.90 in the 3-meter event.

Steve Rois (Amherst, NY/Amherst) (Amherst, NY/Amherst) won the 200-yard freestyle and 200-backstroke.  He won the 200-freestyle in 1:47.41 and took the 200-backstroke in 2:06.25.

Eric Stevens (Auburn, NY/Auburn) (Auburn, NY/Auburn) was victorious in the 1,000-yard freestyle in a time of 10:52.75.

Phil Baudoin (Blacksburg, VA/Blacksburg) (Blacksburg, VA/Blacksburg) won the 500-yard freestyle over Stevens in a time of 4:55.97

Adam Luptak (Idaho Falls, ID/Skyline) (Idaho Falls, ID/Skyline) won the 200-yard butterfly in 1:57.95.

The Tigers are back in action on Tuesday, as they travel to play SUNY Brockport in a dual meet, beginning at 6 p.m.
