ROCHESTER, NY -- The RIT (5-3-1) women's soccer team scored three first-half goals en route to a 4-1 win over Keuka College (5-2-) on Wednesday afternoon.
Erica Main (Chittenango, NY/Chittenango) (Chittenango, NY) and
Emily Traversi (Acton, MA/Acton-Boxborough) (Acton, MA) each had a goal and an assist to lead the Tigers to their third consecutive win.
The Tigers took a 1-0 lead in the ninth minute on
Erica Main (Chittenango, NY/Chittenango)'s (Chittenango, NY) fifth goal of the season.
Stephanie Servetas (Dover, NH/Dover) (Dover, NH) played a nice ball into the penalty area that Main one-timed into the net.
Keuka tied the score on a goal from Alyssa Gumtow in the 27th minute. She scored off a corner kick by Shana Jordan.
Kendra Shelters (Lyons, NY/Lyons) (Lyons, NY) gave RIT the lead in the 29th minute on a nice feed from
Emily Traversi (Acton, MA/Acton-Boxborough) (Acton, MA). She led Shelters with a beautiful cross into the box giving RIT a 2-1 lead.
Traversi made it 3-1 in the 34th minute on a nice assist from
Kristen Denninger (Rochester, NY/Nazareth Academy) (Rochester, NY/Nazareth Academy).
Nicole LaDue (Mechanicsville, MD/Chopticon) (Mechanicsville, MD) tallied her first collegiate goal in the 72nd minute on an assist from Main.
The Tigers out-shot Keuka 29-2.
Ashley Conti (Canfield, OH/Canfield) started and played the first half, picking up her fifth win of the season.
Heather Moe (Chesapeake Beach, MD/Calvert) played the second half.
RIT will face SUNY Oswego on Saturday, October 2 at 4 pm at RIT Field.
