Volleyball Loses SIngle Match at SUNY Cortland

CORTLAND, NY -
The RIT volleyball team fell to 14-4 in 2007 after falling to SUNY Cortland in a non-conference match on Wednesday evening.  SUNY Cortland won in three games, defeating RIT 30-28, 30-25, 30-25.

Shea Haney (Newark, DE/St. Elizabeth) (Newark, DE/St. Elizabeth) led the way offensively with 13 kills.  Nichole Boxler (Varysburg, NY/Attica) (Varysburg, NY/Attica) dished out 33 assists.  Christine Rowinski (Dix Hills, NY/Half Hollow Hills East) (Dix Hills, NY/Half Hollow Hills East) and Jessica Schaffer (Wellington, OH/Keystone) (Wellington, OH/Keystone) both recorded 11 digs.  Schaffer and Victoria Petko (East Amherst, NY/Clarence) (East Amherst, NY/Clarence) led the Tigers with three blocks apiece.

The Tigers are back in action on Friday at the Nazareth Invitational with their first match starting at 6 p.m.
