Women's Tennis Gets Back on WInning Track With Win Over Roberts Wesleyan

ROCHESTER, NY -
The RIT women's tennis team (6-3, 3-2 Empire 8) got back on the winning track on Tuesday afternoon, defeating Roberts Wesleyan 7-2 at the RIT Tennis Courts. 

RIT won two of three doubles matches to start and finished with five of six singles wins.  Sara Paduano (North Tonawanda, NY/North Tonawanda) (North Tonawanda, NY/North Tonawanda) and Joanna Cash (Rochester, NY/Brighton) (Rochester, NY/Brighton) picked up the win at second doubles, 8-3, while Leigh Bryson (Wallingford, CT/Mark T. Sheehan) (Wallingford, CT/Mark T. Sheehan) and Alexis Stanley (Vestal, NY/Vestal) (Vestal, NY/Vestal) won at third doubles, 8-2. 

Stanley won at second singles 6-2, 6-4, while Bryson earned the victory at third singles, 6-0, 6-2.  Freshman Michele Caporali (Endicott, NY/Union-Endicott) (Endicott, NY/Union-Endicott) was a 6-1, 6-1 winner at fourth singles.   Ksenyia Klyachko (Whitesboro, NY/Whitesboro) picked up the win at fifth singles, 6-2, 6-0.  Paduano was victorious at sixth singles, 7-6 (7-2), 6-3.

The Tigers are right back in action on Thursday, as they travel to SUNY Geneseo in a non-conference match beginning at 3:30 p.m.
