Women's Soccer Falls To Hamilton

CLINTON, NY -- RIT fell behind early in the first half and never recoverd, losing to Hamilton College 2-0 on Wednesday afternoon. The loss drops RIT to 2-2-1, while the Continentals improve to 4-0-0 on the season.

Anne Gravely gave Hamilton a 1-0 lead in the fourth minute, tallying her third goal of the season. Erica Dressler added the assist.

RIT had five shots in the first half but only one made it on goal. Ashley Conti (Canfield, OH/Canfield) (Canfield, OH) made three first half saves.

The Tigers generated more offense in the second half, firing 10 shots on goal but Hamilton goalkeeper Cailtin McGilley stopped all 10.

Laura Stirrat made it 2-0 in the 42nd minute to put the game away for the Continentals.

RIT will travel to Ithaca, New York on Saturday for a 12 p.m. Empire 8 game versus the Bombers.
