Women's Tennis Goes to 3-1 With Win Over Hartwick

ROCHESTER, NY -- The RIT women's tennis team improved to 3-1 overall and 2-1 in the Empire 8 with a 6-3 win over Hartwick College on Sunday.

The Tigers swept all three doubles matches to take a 3-0 lead. Brianne Francisco (Amsterdam, NY/Amsterdam) (Amsterdam, NY) and Ksenyia Klyachko were victorious in first doubles, 8-0. Leigh Bryson (Wallingford, CT/Mark T. Sheehan) (Wallingford, CT) and Alexis Stanley (Vestal, NY/Vestal) (Vestal, NY) improved to 4-0 with an 8-4  win. Sara Paduano (North Tonawanda, NY/North Tonawanda) and Joanna Cash (Rochester, NY/Brighton) shut out Rebecca Sarro and Christina Sorrentino, 8-0 in third doubles.

Bryson, Meghan Caporali (Endicott, NY) and Ksenyia Klyachko (Whitesboro, NY) picked up key victories at third, fourth and fifth singles respectively to seal the victory for the Tigers.

Bryson is now 4-0 in singles and doubles comeptition this season. The team of Joanna Cash (Rochester, NY/Brighton) (Rochester, NY) and Sara Paduano (North Tonawanda, NY/North Tonawanda) (N. Tonawanda, NY) are 3-0 on the season.
