ROCHESTER, NY - The RIT men's track and field had a solid day at the U of R Last Chance meet on a cold and dreary Saturday afternoon at Fauver Stadium.

Andrew Varble (Rochester, NY/Rush-Henrietta) (Rochester, NY/Rush-Henrietta) was third in the 1,500-meter run in a time of 3:59.07.

Ryan Rovito won the high jump with a leap of 1.93 meters.  Brian Kallen won the javelin with a throw of 50.21 meters.

Matt Newcomb placed third in the discus with a throw of 37.54 meters.  Tim Wesley was second in the shot-put with a throw of 13.65 meters.  Matt DeRosa (/) was second in the triple jump.

Chris Batdorf (Lebanon, PA/Lebanon) (Lebanon, PA/Lebanon) won the hammer throw with a toss of 48 meters.  He was also fourth in the discus.

RIT is back in action on Friday and Saturday at the NYSCTC Championships atr SUNY Brockport.
