GENEVA, NY - The RIT men's tennis team fell to the Hobart Statesmen 7-2 on Tuesday afternoon. The Tigers record is now 4-4 (2-3 Empire 8) and the Statesmen improve to 9-9.

For the Tigers, the two wins came from first and fifth singles. Jose Guzman (Guatemala/Collegio Valle Verde) (Guatemala/Collegio Valle Verde) defeated James Micheroni at first singles in a third set tiebreaker. Joe Schember (Erie, PA/Mercyhurst Prep) (Erie, PA/Mercyhurst Prep) also won his match in a third set tiebreaker at fifth singles against Adam Cohn.

The Tigers are heading into the Empire 8 Tournament seeded forth. They will host fifth seeded Hartwick College at 9 am on Saturday, April 21st.
