Phoenix, AZ - The RIT Tigers found themselves snakebit during Wednesday's double-dip against Aurora College as they dropped two games to the Spartans, 5-2, and 6-5. RIT seemed unable to gain momentum; hitting the ball hard, but right at the Aurora defense. While the Tigers had 14 hits on the day, they couldn't string them together when they needed to, and left 10 on base between the two games.

Matt George (Walton, NY/Walton) (Walton, NY/Walton) started the Tigers off with a lead-off triple in the bottom of the first inning of the first game, and later scored on a sacrifice fly by Geoff Dornes (Landsville, PA/Hempfield) (Landsville, PA/Hempfield). Andy Scroger (Rochester, NY/Spencerport) (Rochester, NY/Spencerport) went a combined 5-for-6 on the day with two runs. Andrew Larsen (Seattle, WA/Roosevelt) (Seattle, WA/Roosevelt) was clutch for the Tigers in game two; going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and four RBIs. Matt Austin (Weedsport, NY/Weedsport) (Weedsport, NY/Weedsport) also crossed the plate twice in game two.

The Tigers look to bounce back with a win on Thursday, March 8th, at 9:30am MST against the Rockford College Regents in Phoenix, AZ.
