ROCHESTER, NY - The RIT men's tennis team hosted the Roberts Wesleyan Raiders. The Tigers start off the season with a 1-0 recording by defeating the Raiders 6-3.

The young team started out with wins from doubles teams of Jose Guzman (Guatemala/Collegio Valle Verde) (Guatemala/Collegio Valle Verde) and Brennan Dugas (East Falmouth, MA/Falmouth) (East Falmouth, MA/Falmouth) and Han Chong (Penang, Malaysia/Penang Free School) (Penang, Malaysia/Penang Free School) and Joe Schember (Erie, PA/Mercyhurst Prep) (Erie, PA/Mercyhurst Prep) at first and second doubles respectively. These wins gave the Tigers a 2-1 lead. In singles Guzman, Chong, and Schember defeated their opponents as well as Gean Yip (Palo Alto, CA/Gunn) (Palo Alto, CA/Gunn).

The Tigers travel to Ithaca Friday to play the Bombers at 4 pm.
