Men's Lacrosse Improves to 5-0 With Win Over Brockport

ROCHESTER, NY --
The #2 RIT men's lacrosse team improved to 5-0 with an 11-5 win over SUNY Brockport. RIT improves to 5-0 on the season while Brockport State falls to 2-1 on the year.

The Tigers jumped to a 6-1 lead in the first quarter and never looked back. Dave Demuth (Jordan, NY/Jordan-Elbridge) (Jordan, NY/Jordan-Elbridge) and Eric Pritchard (Webster, NY/Webster Schroeder) (Webster, NY) each had two goals for RIT in the first quarter. Andrew Ruocco (Corning, NY/Corning East) (Corning, NY/Corning East) and Trevor Hosleton (Skaneateles, NY) each tallied a goaland Wes Adam (Lafayette, NY/Lafayette) (Lafayette, NY) had three assists.

RIT's defense took care of the rest, holding Brockport State to five goals and 0-for-6 with the extra man.

John Foley (Arthur, ON/Our Lady of Lourdes) (Arthur, ON/Our Lady of Lourdes) got the start in net for RIT. He made two saves and allowed two goals, picking up his fifth win of the season. Brad Conlon (Ottawa, ON/Bridgton Academy) (Ottawa, ON) played the second half and made seven saves, allowing three goals.

Eric Pritchard (Webster, NY/Webster Schroeder), Scott Farress (Webster, NY/Webster Schroeder) (Webster, NY), Dave Demuth (Jordan, NY/Jordan-Elbridge) and Wes Adam (Lafayette, NY/Lafayette) paced the Tigers offense each scoring three points apiece. Pritchard and Demuth had three goals, Farress had a goal and an assist and Adam had three helpers.

Phil Davenport (New Market, MD/Linganore) (New Market, MD/Linganore) led RIT with six ground balls. Jacob Brunner (Lafayette, NY/Lafayette) (Lafayette, NY) won 11-of-15 face-offs and had five ground balls.

Adam Drypolcher had two goals for the Golden Eagles and seven ground balls. Pat Reilly, Aaron Rivers and Brad Olzinski each had a goal.

RIT will face #9 Stevens Tech on Sunday, March 25 at 1 pm in Hoboken, New Jersey.
