ROCHESTER, NY -- The third ranked RIT men's lacrosse team improved to 3-0 with a 17-4 win over Union College. Eric Pritchard (Webster, NY/Webster Schroeder) (Webster, NY) and Scott Farress (Webster, NY/Webster Schroeder) (Webster, NY) paced the Tigers with six points apiece.

RIT led 3-2 after the first quarter. Andy Ruocco (Corning, NY/Corning East) (Corning, NY/Corning East), David Demuth (Jordan, NY/Jordan-Elbridge) and Wes Adam (Lafayette, NY/Lafayette) (Lafayette, NY) each had goals for the Tigers.

The Tigers blew the game open in the second quarter, scoring six goals. Scott Farress (Webster, NY/Webster Schroeder) scored all four of his goals in the second quarter. Demuth and Eric Pritchard (Webster, NY/Webster Schroeder) also scored for the Tigers.

RIT's defense tightened up in the second, third and fourth quarters, allowing two goals. Jacob Tuller (Corning, NY/Corning East) (Corning, NY/Corning East), Matt DiGiambattista (Fairport, NY), Chris Bulawa (Camillus, NY/West Genesee) (Camillus, NY), Michael Crowley (Succasunna, NJ/Roxbury) (Succasunna, NJ), Phil Davenport (New Market, MD/Linganore) (New Market, MD) led a stout RIT defensive effort.

John Foley (Arthur, ON/Our Lady of Lourdes) (Arthur, ON/Our Lady of Lourdes) got the start in net, making three saves, earning his third win of the season. Brad Conlon (Ottawa, ON/Bridgton Academy) (Ottawa, ON) made three saves in relief.

Demuth scored three goals and Trevor Hoselton (Skaneateles, NY) had a goal and two assists. Jacob Brunner (Lafayette, NY/Lafayette) (Lafayette, NY) dominated the face-offs, winning 17-of-22. He also had seven ground balls and an assist. Nicholas Dalton (Webster, NY/Webster Thomas) (Webster, NY) grabbed eight ground balls.

RIT will host Keuka College on Wednesday, March 14 at 4 pm on RIT's Turf Field.
