AMHERST, NY -- The RIT men's hockey team bounced back from a loss on Friday night to defeat the Canisius College Golden Griffins, 4-2 on Saturday evening at the Amherst Pepsi Center in Buffalo, New York.

Head coah Wayne Wilson was pleased with the way the Tigers bounced back. "Everybody played well," said Wilson. "It was a good comeback for us after last night."

Anton Kharin (Moscow, Russia/Bay State Breakers) (Twin Lakes, MI) and Steve Pinizzotto (Mississauga, ON/Oakville Blades) (Mississauga, ON) each had a goal for RIT who improve to 17-9-2 overall and remain in first place in the Atlantic Hockey Association.

Simon Lambert (Ste.-Therese, PQ/Cumberland Grads) (Ste.-Therese, PQ) had a pair of goals and Louis Menard (Chicoutimi, PQ/Ottawa Jr. Senators) (Chicoutimi, PQ) made 19 saves, picking up the win. He was particularly sharp in the third when he stopped what looked to be a sure goal by Jason Weeks that kept the game within reach for the Tigers.

RIT is off until next Friday when they host Air Force Academy. Friday's faces off at 7 pm at Frank Ritter Memorial Arena.
