WALTHAM, MA -- A night after they had clinched the Atlantic Hockey Association regular season title the RIT men's hockey team fell to Bentley 7-6. Junior
Simon Lambert (Ste.-Therese, PQ) had a goal and two assists giving him 101 career points. The Tigers finish the 2006-07 season with a 21-11-2 record.
RIT trailed 4-2 heading into the third period. The Tigers fought back, tying the score on a power play goal from
Al Mazur (Burnaby, BC) at 5:34 of the third period.
Steve Pinizzotto (Mississauga, ON)Â and
Simon Lambert had the assists on the play.
The Tigers took their first lead at 8:24 of the third on a short-handed tally from
Rob Tarantino (Oakville, ON). Lambert picked up his second assist of the night on the play.
RIT's senior class combined to score the final goal of the season with 1:06 to play.
Brad Harris (Winnipeg, MB) got the goal on assists from
Tristan Fairbarn (Innisfil, ON) and Tarantino.
Lambert finished with a goal and two assists.
Anton Kharin (Twin Lake, MI) had a pair of goals.
Jared DeMichiel (Avon, CT) got the start in goal for RIT. The freshman netminder made 26 saves, allowing seven goals.
