Freshman Cat Jones won two diving events on Saturday

CANTON, NY --
The RIT women's swimming and diving team dropped to 1-3 in dual meets during the 2007-08 season, falling to St. Lawrence, 130-90 on Saturday afternoon.

Caitlyn Burr (Delhi, NY/Delaware Academy) (Delhi, NY/Delaware Academy), Angie Palomaki (Victor, NY/Victor) (Victor, NY/Victor) and Cat Jones (Eden, NY/Eden) (Eden, NY/Eden) each won three single events to lead the way.

Burr took first place in the 200-butterfly in 2:16.03 by 10 seconds and 200-yard freestyle by five seconds with a time of 2:02.48.

Palomaki won the 500 and 1,000-yard freestyle events in 5:39.38 and 11:32.74, respectively. 

Jones placed first in the 1-meter diving with a score of 178.80.  She then won the 3-meter event in 157.05.

The Tigers are back in action on Friday, November 30, when they host the Don Richards Memorial Tournament.
