ROCHESTER, NY -- The RIT men's swimming and diving team picked up its first dual win of the 2007-08 season, defeating SUNY Fredonia by a score of 189-98 on Saturday afternoon at the Judson Pool. The Tigers won 12 single events and both relays.
Senior Quinn Donahoe (Syracuse, NY/West Genesee) (Syracuse, NY/West Genesee), a four-time All-American, won both the 1- and 3-meter diving events. He won the 1-meter event in 289.60 and took the 3-meter in 305.10.
Sophomore Jeff Kaemmerlen (Fairport, NY/Fairport) (Fairport, NY/Fairport) won the 50-yard freestyle in 22.31 seconds and annexed the 100-free in 49.39.
Phil Baudoin (Blacksburg, VA/Blacksburg) (Blacksburg, VA/Blacksburg) was won both the 200-yard backstroke (2:06.52) and 200-yard freestyle (1:50.03).
Steve Rois (Amherst, NY/Amherst) (Amherst, NY/Amherst) won the 1,000-meter freestyle (10:37.73) and 500-freestyle (5:08.34).
Steve Berus (East Amherst, NY/Williamsville North) won both the 100-yard breaststroke in 1:05.61 and 200-breaststroke in 2:22.36.
Eric Stevens (Auburn, NY/Auburn) (Auburn, NY/Auburn) was victorious in the 500-yard freestyle in 5:24.00, while Adam Luptak (Idaho Falls, ID/Skyline) (Idaho Falls, ID/Skyline) won the 100-fly in 56.00 and 200-fly in 2:02.10.
The Tigers will travel to SUNY Oswego on Tuesday to compete against the Lakers starting at 6 p.m.
