ROCHESTER, NY  -- On Senior Night, the RIT women's volleyball team defeated SUNY Geneseo, 3-0 (30-21, 30-25, 30-18). RIT has now won seven of their last eight matches. The win improves the Tigers to 20-7, while the Knights fall to 13-16.

Senior Shea Haney (Newark, DE/St. Elizabeth) (Newark, DE/St. Elizabeth) was one of three Tigers in double figures in kills with 15. Jessica Schaffer (Wellington, OH/Keystone) (Wellington, OH/Keystone) added 14 kills and Michelle Skowzgird (Grayslake, IL/John Hersey) (Grayslake, I/John Hersey) added 10.

Nichole Boxler (Varysburg, NY/Attica) (Varysburg, NY/Attica) had 41 assists, nine digs and a block. Kristan Hernandez (Somerset, TX/Somerset) (Somerset, TX/Somerset) and Christine Rowinski (Dix Hills, NY/Half Hollow Hills East) (Dix Hills, NY/Half Hollow Hills East) each had 11 digs.

Jessi Laemlein led Geneseo with six kills and 11 digs. Maddy Maler added 25 assists.

RIT will compete at the Cortland Tournament this weekend.
