Men's Swimming Loses at SUNY Geneseo

GENESEO, NY -- The RIT men's swimming and diving team was defeated by SUNY Geneseo, 152-136 on Saturday afternoon in Geneseo, New York. The loss drops the Tigers to 3-4 in dual meets this season.

Junior diver Quinn Donahoe (Syracuse, NY/West Genesee) (Syracuse, NY/West Genesee) won the one-meter and three-meter diving events. He won the 1-meter with a score of 295.95 and the 3-meter board with a score of 281.85.

Steve Rois (Amherst, NY/Amherst) (Amherst, NY) won the 1,000-yard freestyle with a time of 10:27.53 and was second in the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 5:06.50.

Adam Luptak (Idaho Falls, ID/Skyline) (Idaho Falls, IA/Skyline) won the 200-yard butterfly (2:00.16) and Pete Kaemmerlen (Fairport, NY/Fairport) (Fairport, NY) won the 200-yard backstroke in a time of 2:01.48. Matthew Jenkins (Springfield, MA/) (Springfield, MA) was second in the 200-yard butterfly with a time of 2:03.44.

The Tigers will host SUNY Brockport on Wednesday, January 24 at 7 pm at the Judson Pool.
