The Tigers defeated Clarkson University 30-18, 30-18, 30-22 on Saturday morning. Jessica Schaffer (Wellington, OH/Keystone) (Wellington, OH/Keystone) led the way with 11 kills, while Nichole Boxler (Varysburg, NY/Attica) (Varysburg, NY/Varysburg) dished out 28 assists.
Later on Saturday, the Tigers came back from two games down to upend St. John Fisher 23-30, 29-31, 30-28, 30-21, 15-13. Boxler recorded 48 assists, while Shea Haney (Newark, DE/St. Elizabeth) (Newark, DE/St. Elizabeth) had 17 kills and four aces.
In their first match of the day on Friday, the Tigers fell to the SUNY Brockport Golden Eagles 28-30, 31-29, 24-30, 15-30. RIT then lost to Haverford College 23-30, 33-31, 27-30, 15-30.
Cecilia Enestrom (Medicine Hat, AB/McCoy) (Medicine Hat, Alberta/McCoy) led RIT with 10 kills against SUNY Brockport and 18 digs, 17 kills and four aces against Haverford. Victoria Petko (East Amherst, NY/Clarence) (East Amherst, NY/Clarence) had five solo blocks in the loss to SUNY Brockport, while Chrissy Rowinski (Dix Hills, NY/Half Hollow Hills East) recorded 13 digs. Kate Gleason (Hamburg, NY/Frontier) (Hamburg, NY/Frontier) dished out 48 assists against Haverford.
RIT is back in action on Friday, as they host SUNY Fredonia and SUNY Potsdam in the RIT Invitational at 4 p.m. and 8 p.m.
