Men's Loses Close Game at Buffalo State

BUFFALO, NY-- 
The RIT (2-5-0) men's soccer team's bid for a third straight win fell short on Tuesday as the Tigers fell to Buffalo State (4-5-0) 1-0 in non-conference action.

The Bengals' Joshua Mitchell scored whatwould prove to be the game-winning goal in the 65th minute.

After a scoreless opening half, Buffalo State controlled play for much of the final 45 minutes, and finally broke through on Mitchell's goal. Shawn McDonell made five saves for the shutout.

Alan Smith (Lancaster, PA/Penn Manor) (Lancaster, PA/Penn Manor) made four saves for the Tigers.

RIT will host Empire 8 rival Alfred University on Saturday afternoon beginning at 12 pm.
