ROCHESTER, NY -
The RIT women's volleyball team dropped their second consecutive five-game match, falling to cross-town rival University of Rochester Yellowjackets 28-30, 31-29, 30-19, 21-30, 12-15.

With the loss, RIT falls to 10-4,  U of R, who finished sixth in the RIT Invitational over the weekend, improves to 11-3.

Chrissy Rowinski (Dix Hills, NY/Half Hollow Hills East) and Jessica Schaffer (Wellington, OH/Keystone) (Wellington, OH/Keystone) recorded 28 digs each. Schaffer also led RIT with 15 kills and four aces.

Victoria Petko (East Amherst, NY/Clarence) (East Amherst, NY/Clarence) also recorded 15 kills, while adding five blocks. Nichole Boxler (Varysburg, NY/Attica) (Varysburg, NY/Attica) dished out 49 assists and had a team-best seven assisted blocks.

Shea Haney (Newark, DE/St. Elizabeth) (Newark, DE/St. Elizabeth) and Cecilia Enestrom (Medicine Hat, AB/McCoy) (Medicine Hat, AB/McCoy) each recorded doubles. Haney had 13 kills and 15 digs, while Enestrom had 13 kills and 11 digs.

Susan Johnson had 25 kills and 28 digs for Rochester. Dana Hilfinger had nine kills and five blocks. Ariel Edelson had nine kills. Andrea Wagonseller and Sam Carr had five kills each.

RIT is back in action on Friday and Saturday, as they travel to Pittsburgh, PA to compete in the Carnegie Mellon Invitational.
