Baseball Score 26 Runs in Doubleheader Sweep of Keuka

KEUKA PARK, N.Y.
– The RIT baseball team (19-14, 10-6 Empire 8) continued its torrid hitting, scoring 26 runs on Wednesday, in a doubleheader sweep of Keuka College, 15-5 and 11-2.  Senior Colin Bradley (Barre, VT/Spaulding) (Barre, VT/Spaulding) set a Tiger record by slamming his eighth triple of the season.

RIT is riding a five-game winning streak and has scored an astounding 62 runs during that time.

Bradley was 3-for-5 with a double and triple in game one and added another three-base hit in game two.  He broke the record of six, previously set by Jeff Grau in 1966 and Frank Silkman in 1955.

In game one Jeremy Tosh (Woodbine, MD/Glenelg) (Woodbine, MD/Glenelg) was 3-for-5 with three runs scored.  Andy Scroger (Rochester, NY/Spencerport) (Spencerport, NY/Spencerport) had four hits, while Brian Lindenau (Tucson, AZ/Sabino) (Tucson, AZ/Sabino) chipped in with three hits, while Alex Alongi (Rochester, NY/C.G. Finney) (Rochester, NY/C.G. Finney) ripped three hits and stole two bases.  He finished with four RBI in the game. 

Pat Walters (Rochester, NY/Webster) (Webster, NY/Webster) picked up the win on the mound.

Tosh and Lindenau continued to rip the ball in game two, with three hits apiece.  Adam Gerentine (Poughkeepsie, NY/Marlboro) (Poughkeepsie, NY/Marlboro) had his second triple in three games.

Nick Bell (Jamestown, NY/Jamestown) (Jamestown, NY/Jamestown) picked up the victory to improve his record to 5-3. He went six innings and allowed two runs.

RIT is back in action on Tuesday, as they host Medaille College in a doubleheader at 2 p.m.  RIT will be celebrating Senior day.
