OSWEGO, NY - The RIT baseball team finished the 2006 regular season with a 22-16 record after splitting a pair of games at SUNY Oswego on Saturday.  The Lakers won game one 6-4, while the Tigers rallied from a 4-2 seventh inning deficit to pull out a 6-4 win in eight innings.  In addition, three RIT single-season records fell.

Senior centerfielder Matt Singer (Honeoye Falls, NY/Honeoye Falls-Lima) (Honeoye Falls, NY/Honeoye Falls-Lima) became the RIT single-season leader for walks, as he picked up his 28th and 29th of the season.

Both Colin Bradley (Barre, VT/Spaulding) (Barre, VT/Spaulding) and Jeremy Tosh (Woodbine, MD/Glenelg) (Woddbine, MD/Glenelg) broke the RIT record for hits in a season, which was 50.  Bradley had four hits on Saturday, while Tish had three.  Bradley now has 52 hits and Tosh 51.

Dylan Rees (Wampsville, NY/Oneida) (Wampsville, NY/Oneida) broke a team record by throwing his eighth complete game of the year.  He also tied a record by picking up his eighth win.

In game two, RIT scored two runs with two outs in the top of the seventh inning to tie the game at 4 and tallied two more runs in the eighth to win it.  Tosh hit a two-run double in the eighth inning to vault RIT to the win.

With two outs in the seventh, Tosh, Bradley, Brian Lindenau (Tucson, AZ/Sabino) (Tucson, AZ/Sabino) and Andy Scroger (Rochester, NY/Spencerport) (Spencerport, NY/Spencerport) hit consecutive singles to tie the game.

Bradley drove in RIT's first run with a single in the first inning and then hit his second home run of the year, a solo shot in the fifth inning.

Tosh hit a two-run double in the eighth to give RIT the win.

Rees allowed just six hits and two earned runs, while striking out seven.

In game one, Scroger was 3-for-3 with a RBI.  Tosh, Bradley and Lindenau drove in a run each for RIT.
