Baseball Swept by Ithaca on Saturday

ITHACA, NY -
The RIT baseball team (9-9, 4-3 Empire 8) dropped a pair of games at #17 Ithaca on Saturday afternoon, losing 4-1 in game one and 7-1 in game two.

RIT trailed 4-0 in the top of the sixth inning in game one before Andy Scroger (Rochester, NY/Spencerport) (Spencerport, NY/Spencerport) drove in Colin Bradley (Barre, VT/Spaulding) (Barre, VT/Spaulding) with a RBI single.

Mike Fox (Victor, NY/Victor) (Victor, NY/Victor) took the loss, allowing nine hits, while striking out four in the complete game effort. 

Jeremy Peters was 3-for-4, while Rob Litz was 2-for-4 with a runs scored and RBI to lead the Bombers.

In game two,  Peters pitched a complete game, allowing one run while scattering eight hits for the Bombers (16-4, 5-1 Empire 8), while going 3-for-4 at the plate with an RBI single in the third.

Jeremy Tosh (Woodbine, MD/Glenelg) (Woodbine, MD/Glenelg) drove in RIT's only run, with a single in the fourth inning.  Dylan Rees (Wampsville, NY/Oneida) (Wampsville, NY/Oneida) took the loss on the mound for RIT.

The same two teams meet for a second doubleheader at 1 p.m. in Ithaca.
