Mike Fox helped RIT sweep SUNY Oneonta on Sunday.

ROCHESTER, NY -- It was a day for pitchers on Sunday afternoon as RIT (4-6) swept SUNY Oneonta (7-4) this afternoon at RIT Field. Mike Fox (Victor, NY/Victor) (Victor, NY/Victor) threw a two-hitter in game #1 and Dylan Reese (Wampsville, NY/Oneida) allowed four hits in game two as RIT won 3-2 and 2-1. 

Fox was outstanding in game one allowing just two hits in seven innings. He struck out eight and walked five. Jim Miller (Rochester. NY/Rush Henrietta) (Rochester, NY/Rush-Henrietta) and Dan Christner (Honeoye Falls, NY/Honeoye Falls-Lima) (Honeoye Falls, NY/Honeoye Falls-Lima) drove home runs in the fourth inning, breaking a 1-1 tie. The Red Draons added a run in the sixth but Fox shut down SUNY Oneonta in the seventh.

In the second game Christner drove in the winning run in the fourth inning. Jeremy Tosh (Woodbine, MD/Glenelg) (Woodbine, MD/Genelg) opened the fourth with a double, scoring on Christner's single with one out. Reese was solid for RIT, allowing one run on four hits. He struck out four and walked just two batters.

RIT will host Cazenovia College on Tuesday, March 28 at 3:30 pm.
