PITTSFORD, NY -- The RIT men's swimming downed Nazareth College 140-76 at Nazareth on Saturday afternoon. Senior sprinter
Erik Zelbacher (Victor, NY/) (Victor, NY) set pool records in the 50 and 100-yard freestyle's.
Zelbacher won the 50 freestyle in a time of 23.86 and the 100 free in a time of 53.14. He also helped the 400 fresstyle relay team to a first place finish.
Sophomore
Quinn Donahoe (Syracuse, NY/) (Syracuse, NY) swept both diving events. He won the 1-meter event with a score of 301.50 and took first in the 3-meter event with a total score of 267.70.
Freshman
Phil Baudoin (Blacksburg, VA) turned in another solid meet, winning two individual events. He won the 200 freestyle in a time of 2:08.42 and placed first in the 400 freestyle with a time of 4:36.22. He also anchored the 400 freestyle relay team to a victory.
Fellow freshman
Chris Walczk (Hooksett, NH) helped the 400 medley relay to a win. He also on the 200 breaststroke with a time of 2:42.50.
Senior
Tyler Morrison (Hartford, CT/) (Hartford, CT) won the 200 backstroke in a time of 2:23.43. He also swam the first leg in the winning 400 medley relay.
Other winners included
Eric Stevens (Auburn, NY/) (Auburn, NY) in the 800 freestyle (9:35.05),
Matt Jenkins (Springfield, MA) in the 200 IM (2:22.22) and
Adam Luptak (Idaho Falls, ID/Skyline High School) (Idaho Falls, IA) in the 200 butterfly (2:14.40).
RIT will compete at the New York State Championships beginning February 22 and running through the 25th.
