Men's Swimming and Diving Drops Meet to University of Rochester

ROCHESTER, NY -- The RIT men's swimming and diving team fell to the University of Rochester 134-103 on Saturday afternoon.  The loss drops the Tigers to 2-3 in dual meets this season.

Freshman Casey Schneider (Grandville, MI/Grandville) (Grandville, MI/Grandville) and Scott Heaterberg (Wagilla, AK/Colony) finished 1-2 in the 50-yard freestyle.  Schneider won in :23.21 and Heaterberg was second in :23.88.

Phil Baudoin (Blacksburg, VA/Blacksburg) (Blacksburg, VA/Blacksburg) earned RIT nine more points in the 100-yd. freestyle with his victory. He won the event in a time of :50.11.

The 200-yard freestyle relay team of Pete Kaemmerlen (Fairport, NY/Fairport) (Fairport, NY/Fairport), Baudoin, Heaterberg and Schneider won the race with a time of 1:31.52

Quinn Donahoe (Syracuse, NY/West Genesee) (Syracuse, NY/West Genesee) won both the one-meter and three-meter boards with scores of 296.05 and 295.30 respectively.

The Tigersharks are back in action next Saturday, November 11 when they host St. Lawrence University at 1 pm in the Judson Pool.
