Men's Swimmng and Diving Falls to Alfred in Season Opener

ROCHESTER, NY -
The RIT men's swimming and diving team opened the 2006-07 season by falling to Alfred University 144-98 on Wednesday evening at the Judson Pool.

Two-time All-American diver Quinn Donahoe (Syracuse, NY/West Genesee) (Syracuse, NY/West Genesee) opened the season in fine fashion, taking both the 1- and 3-meter diving events.  He won the 1-meter with a score of 270.90 and the 3-meter by tallying a score of 234.15.

Sophomore Phil Baudoin (Blacksburg, VA/Blacksburg) (Blacksburg, VA/Blacksburg) was RIT's only other winner, taking first place in the 200-yard freestyle in 1:47.83.

The Tigersharks are back in action on Saturday as they travel to SUNY Fredonia to compete against the Blue Devils at 1 p.m.
