Men's Swimming Falls to Geneseo

ROCHESTER, NY -- The RIT men's swimming/diving team fell to Geneseo State 131-108 this afternoon at Judson Pool on the campus of RIT.

Erik Zelbacher (Victor, NY/) (Victor, NY) and Quinn Donahoe (Syracuse, NY/) (Syracuse, NY) each won a pair of individual events for the Tigers. Zelbacher was also part of a winning relay, while Adam Luptak (Idaho Falls, ID/Skyline High School) (Idaho Falls, IA), Matt Joseph (Pittsford, NY/) (Pittsford, NY) and Eric Stevens (Auburn, NY/) (Auburn, NY) each had strong meets.

Zelbacher won the 50-yard and the 100-yard freestyle events. He won the 50-yard freestyle in a time of 21.51 an took home first in the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 46.88.

Donahoe, an All-American last year, swept the one-meter and three-meter diving events. He won the one-meter board with a score of 295.45 and the three -meter board with a score of 298.50.

Adam Luptak (Idaho Falls, ID/Skyline High School) won the 200-yard butterfly with a time of 1:59.05. Eric Stevens (Auburn, NY/) turned in a solid performance in the 1,000-yard reestyle, finishing second with a time of 10:50.64.

Matt Joseph (Pittsford, NY/) was second in th diving events for the Tigers. He posted a score of 252.20 in the one-meter board and had a score of 266.32 in the three-meter board.

The team of Zelbacher, Jonathan Scibilia (Rochester, NY), Phil Baudoin (Blacksburg, VA) and Brian Duffy (Clarence, NY/) (Clarence, NY) placed first in the 400-yard freestyle relay with a time of 3:16.61.
