Women's Swimming Defeats William Smith

ROCHESTER, NY -- The RIT women's swimming/diving teams defeated William Smith College 139-103 at Judson Pool this evening.

Kristen Curtze (Edinboro, PA) paced the Tigers winning three individual events. She won the 50-yard freestyle in a time of 25.58, the 100-yard butterfly in a time 1:03.51 and the 500-yard freestyle in a time of 5:34.88.

Teresa Burr (Delhi, NY/) (Delhi, NY) won the 200-yard freestyle (2:04.32) and the 100-yard backstroke (1:04.15). Sarah Keesler (Endicott, NY/) (Endicott, NY) as victorious in the 200 IM (2:17.53) and the 100-yard breaststroke (1:11.97). Stefanie Owczarczak (West Seneca, NY/) (West Seneca, NY) won the 100 freestyle in a time of 57.96 and helped the 200 freestyle relay to a victory.

The team of Jacqueline McLatchy (Spring Grove, PA), Sarah Keesler (Endicott, NY/), Kate Savidge (New Cumberland, PA/) (New Cumberland, PA) and Amanda Williams (Hudson, OH/) (Hudson, OH) won the 200-yard medley relay in a time of 2:06.46.

The Tigers will host SUNY Geneseo on Saturday, January 21 at 1 p.m.
