ROCHESTER, NY - Anna Cerio's diving header found the back of the net in the 69th minute, snapping a 1-1 tie and giving Skidmore College at 2-1 win over host RIT in the consolation game of the Rachel Miller Memorial Tournament at RIT Field on Sunday.

RIT (0-2-0) dominated play for the majority of the first half, and scored the first goal of the contest just 54 seconds in.  Sophomore Anna Kolnik (Sharon, WI/Big Foot) (Sharon, WI/Big Foot) slammed in a rebound off a shot from teammate Gabrielle Peters (Marion, NY/Marion) (Marion, NY/Marion) that went off the goal post to give the Tigers a 1-0 lead.

The Tigers kept up the pressure, nearly making the score 2-0 in the 10th minute, as Alaina Chorney (Manalapan, NJ/Manalapan)'s (Manalapan, NJ/Manalapan) partial breakaway attempt was folied by a tremendous diving save by Skidmore's Liza MIlls.

Skidmore's Jess Morten netted the equalizer just 2:25 into the second half, chipping a shot from about 30 yards out that eluded Tiger goalkeeper Ashley Conti (Canfield, OH/Canfield) (Canfield, OH/Canfield).

The Thoroughbreds (1-1) grabbed the momentum from there and took the lead on Cerio's second goal of the 2005 season.  Amanda Roth assisted on the tally.

RIT's best chance to tie the game came with just under eight minutes left to play, when a rocket by Brittany Peters (Marion, NY/Marion) (Marion, MY/Marion) from just inside the box was punched just over the crossbar by Mills.

Mills made six saves in the win, while Conti, making her first career start, made three saves.

In the Rachel Miller Tournament final, Wilkes scored three unanswered goals to win the championship game over Cortland State, 3-1.  Forward Catherine Simone of Wilkes was named the Tournament MVP
