ROCHESTER, NY - Junior Dan Slocum (Irondequoit, NY/Bishop Kearney) (Rochester, NY/Irondequoit) of the RIT Men's Soccer team was named the Empire 8 Goalkeeper of the Week for the week ending September 25, 2005.

Slocum made a career-high nine saves and yielded only one goal in a 3-1 conference win over Utica on Saturday. In five games this season, Slocum is 2-2-1 with a 1.50 goals against average and a .758 save percentage.

RIT (4-3-1, 1-0-0 Empire 8) is back in action on Tuesday, as they host Buffalo State at 4 p.m. The game will also be carried on WYSL 1040 AM.
