ITHACA, NY -- The RIT women's volleyball team began play on Friday at the Ithaca College Invitational. The Tigers defeated MIT, 3-2 in the opening match of the day. RIT won the first two games, dropped the next twoand rallied in the deciding game 15-12.

RIT was led by Christina Anabel (Apalachin, NY/Vestal) who had 16 kills and 20 digs. Katie Werner (Trumbull, CT/Trumbull) added 45 assists, 16 digs and five blocks. Laurie Underhill (East Aurora, NY/Mt. Mercy) added 12 kills, 12 digsand three blocks.
