RIT out shot Potsdam, 5-3 in a scoreless first half. RIT keeper
Matt Klosner (Lowville, NY/Lowville Academy) (Lowville, NY/Lowville) made two stops in the first half.
The game remained scoreless until the 82nd minute when Gossin scored on a feed from senior forward
Jorge Ciurlizza (McLean, VA/Gonzaga) (McLean, VA/Gonzaga), giving RIT a 1-0 lead.
RIT's defense, which was stellar all day, kept the Bears off the scoreboard for their first shut out of the season.
Klosner finished with four saves as RIT out shot Potsdam, 8-5.
The Tigers will face Plymouth State on Saturday, September 3 at 3:30 p.m. in the second annual Doug May Classic hosted this year by Nazareth College.
