Scott Schneider went 5-for-7 with three runs scored and two RBI on Sunday

The RIT Baseball team traveled to Clarkson University on Sunday and were swept, 17-5, and 9-4 on Sunday afternoon.

In game one, the Tigers recorded 13 hits, but left 11 men on base in the 17-5 defeat.  Scott Schneider (Rochester, NY/Greece Athena) (Rochester, NY/Greece Athena) went 3-for-3 with a run scored and a RBI.  Colin Bradley (Barre, VT/Spaulding) (Barre, VT/Spaulding) finished 3-for-4 with two RBI and a run scored.  Adam Gerentine (Poughkeepsie, NY/Marlboro) (Poughkeepsie, NY/Marlboro) also collected three hits, while scoring and driving in a run.  Andy Scroger (Rochester, NY/Spencerport) (Rochester, NY/Spencerport) had two hits in two at-bats.

Schneider continued his torrid hitting in game two, smashing his second home run of the season, finishing 2-for-4 with two runs scored in the 9-4 loss.  Jason Socola (Rochester, NY/Rush-Henrietta) (Rochester, NY/Rush-Henrietta), Matt Singer (Honeoye Falls, NY/Honeoye Falls-Lima) (Honeoye Falls, NY/Honeoye Falls-Lima) and John Byrne (East Amherst, NY/Williamsville East) (East Amherst, NY/Williamsville East) each had two hits.  Once again, the Tigers got men on base, but had trouble delivering clutch hits, as they left 10 men on. 

Pat Walters (Rochester, NY/Webster) (Webster, NY/Webster) took the loss, but allowed just one earned run.  Drew Olek (Fairport, NY/Fairport) pitched 2 1/3 innings of scoreless relief.

RIT (14-14) is back in action on Tuesday, as they host U of R.
