Ithaca, NY -- The RIT men's tennis team traveled to Ithaca this afternoon to challenge the Bombers for their second Empire 8 match of the season. The Tigers defeated the Bombers 4-3 and increased their record to 2-1 while the Bombers are now 5-11.

The only win in doubles was the third doubles team of Frank Solome (Rochester, NY/Eastridge) (Rochester, NY/Eastridge) and Jon New (Pittsburgh, PA/Central Catholic) (Pittsburgh, Pa/Central Catholic). They easily defeated their opponents by a score of 8-1. In singles, first singles, David Chachu (Kumasi, Ghana/Mfantsipim School) (Kumasi, Ghana/Mfantsipim School), third singles, Solome, fourth singles, Zak Blazic (Wyncote, PA/Cheltenham) (Wyncote, PA/Cheltenham), and sixth singles, Rod Razavi (Cincinnati, OH/Cincinnati Country Day) (Cincinnati, OH/Cincinnati Country Day) all contributed to the teams victory.

The men host St. John Fisher this Thursday at 4:00 pm. In case of rain, the two teams will play on Friday.
