Geneva, NY -- The RIT men’s tennis team traveled to Geneva to play Hobart for their last regular season match. The Tigers lost by a score of 4-3. Their record is now 8-2 and Hobart is 8-9.

In doubles action, 2nd doubles team of Jason Swails (Vestal, NY/Vestal) (Vestal, NY/Vestal) and Adam DePuit (Manlius, NY/Fayetteville-Manlius) (Manlius, NY/Fayetteville-Manlius) had a spectacular match and defeated their opponents 8-1. In the singles line up, Frank Solome (Rochester, NY/Eastridge) (Rochester, NY/Eastridge) won at third singles and Zak Blazic (Wyncote, PA/Cheltenham) (Wyncote, PA/Cheltenham) and Jon New (Pittsburgh, PA/Central Catholic) (Pittsburgh, Pa/Central Catholic) both won in three sets at fourth and fifth singles respectively.

The Tigers play in the Empire 8 Championships that begin this Saturday morning. Both of the men’s matches will be held at RIT. The Tigers go into the tournament seeded 1st.
