Rochester, NY -- The RIT men's tennis team hosted their first match of the year. The Tigers went up against the University of Rochester Yellowjackets. RIT lost to the Yellowjackets 6-1 and their record is now 0-1.

In doubles, the first doubles team of David Chachu (Kumasi, Ghana/Mfantsipim School) (Kumasi, Ghana/Mfantsipim School) and Rod Razavi (Cincinnati, OH/Cincinnati Country Day) (Cincinnati, OH/Cincinnati Country Day) defeated Eric Hansen and Thanos Kantarelis by a score of 8-4. RIT didn't recieve the doubles point because two out of three teams need to win. The lone singles winner was Chachu at first singles. He beat Avinash Reddy by a score of 6-4, 6-3.

The Tigers play their next match at home this Sunday, April 2nd at 1:00 pm. They will be hosting the Nazareth Golden Eagles.
