Women's Swimming Falls to Nazareth

ROCHESTER, NY -- The RIT women's swimming/diving team fell to Nazareth College 135-92 on Saturday afternoon at the Judson Pool. The loss drops RIT to 4-6 in dual meets this season.

Teresa Burr (Delhi, NY/Delhi) (Delhi, NY/Delhi) paced the Tigers with a pair of wins in individual events. She won the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 26.09 and the 100 backstroke in a time of 1:04.50.

Gretchen Anderson (Coopersburg, PA/Southern Lehigh) (Coopersburg, PA/Southern Lehigh) and Mickenzie Peebles (Lowville, NY/Lowville Academy) (Lowville, NY/Lowville) swept both boards in the diving. Peebles won the 1-meter board with a score of 209.85 and Anderson won the 3-meter board with a score of 177.70.

The 400-yard freestyle relay team of Jamie Garver (Trenton, ME/Mt. Desert Island) (Trenton, ME/Mt. Desert Island), Sarah Keesler (Endicott, NY/Union-Endicott) (Endicott, NY/Union-Endicott), Teresa Burr (Delhi, NY/Delhi) and Stefanie Owczarczak (West Seneca, NY/West Seneca) (West Seneca, NY/West Seneca) won the opening event of the meet with a time of 4:24.01.
