Women's Swimming/Diving Loses to Alfred

Sarah Keesler won a pair of events versus Alfred on Saturday.

ALFRED, NY -- The RIT women's swimming and diving team was defeated by Alfred University, 111-133 this afternoon in Empire 8 swimming action.

Teresa Burr (Delhi, NY/) (Delhi, NY), Kristen Curtze (Edinboro, PA) and Sarah Keesler (Endicott, NY/) (Endicott, NY) each won a pair of individual events for the Tigers.

Burr won the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 2:05.61. She also won the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 1:04.62.

Curtze placed first in the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 22.06. The freshman sprinter won the 100-yard butterfly in a time of 1:06.13.

Keesler placed first in the 200-yard IM in a time of 2:19.64 and the 100-yard breaststroke in a time of 1:12.47.

The team of Burr, Amy Holcomb (Rochester, NY/) (Rochester, NY), Sarah Lindh (Syosset, NY) and Jessica Schaefer (Bethel Park, PA/) (Bethel Park, PA) won the 200-yard medley relay in a time of 2:02.55.
