NIAGARA, NY -- Randy Harris' goal at 13:24 of the third period gave Niagara University a 3-2 victory over RIT at Dwyer Arena. The losss drops RIT to 3-7-1, while Niagara improves to 6-4-1 on the season.

"I thought we did a great job throughout the game," said Head Coach Wayne Wilson. "We just have to start bringing every game."

RIT took a 1-0 lead at 7:08 of the first period on Matt Harris' (Toronto, ON) first goal of the season. With RIT just coming off a power play, Harris took a pass from Jesse Newman (Westbank, BC/Trail) (Westbank, BC) at the right point and sent a wrist shot that snuck past Niagara goaltender Jeff Van Nynatten.

Niagara tied the score at 1-1 on a thrilling goal from Scott Langdon. He gathered the puck at center ice and juked around an RIT defenseman, breaking in on Jocelyn Guimond (St.-Edouard-de-Lotbiniere, PQ/Williams Lake) (Quebec City, PQ), Landon put a nice move on Guimond scoring his first goal of the season at 11:39 of the period.

RIT killed off two penalties later on the first period and had some decent chances late in the period when the Purple Eagles took three penalties in succession.

The Tigers regained the lead at 10:29 of the second period from Brennan Sarazin (Nepean, ON/Nepean) (Nepea, ON). He ripped a shot that was blocked by a Purple Eagles defenseman. The rebound came right to Sarazin who roofed a shot over Van Nynatten's shoulder giving RIT a 2-1 lead.

The Purple Eagles tied the score at 2-2 at the 17:48 mark of the second. Vince Rocco drove in on Jocelyn Guimond (St.-Edouard-de-Lotbiniere, PQ/Williams Lake). He looked as if he might feed the puck but took the wrist shot instead, beating Guimond for his third goal of the season.

The Purple Eagles took the lead at 13:24 of the third. Niagara sent the puck into RIT's zone. Jocelyn Guimond (St.-Edouard-de-Lotbiniere, PQ/Williams Lake) came out to play the puck but misjudged it and didn't get good wood on it. Randy Harris centered the puck and RIT's defense could not clear as Randy Harris got credit for the goal.

Jocelyn Guimond (St.-Edouard-de-Lotbiniere, PQ/Williams Lake) made 23 saves in net for RIT, while Jeff Van Nynatten stopped 21 RIT shots.
