Women's Soccer Falls to Conference Rival Elmira in Overtime

ELMIRA, NY -
Jennifer Tuttle's goal 54 seconds into the second overtime lifted Elmira College (3-9-0, 3-2-0 Empire 8) to a 1-0 win over the visiting RIT Women's Soccer team (3-8-1, 1-3-1 Empire 8) on a rainy Saturday afternoon in Elmira.

Tuttle was sent in on a breakaway and slipped a shot past RIT goalkeeper Ashley Conti (Canfield, OH/Canfield) (Canfield, OH/Canfield) in the 101st minute of the contest for her second goal of the season.

RIT out-shot Elmira 15-10 in the game, including 12-2 in the first half.  Meaghan Doherty made saves to record the shutout for the Soaring Eagles.  Conti made five saves for RIT.

Alaina Chorney (Manalapan, NJ/Manalapan) (Manalapan, NJ/Manalapan) recorded five shots for the Tigers. 

Each team had three corner kicks.

RIT is back in action on Tuesday, as they host William Smith College at 4 p.m.
